Easy Recipes – hard sauce

Hard Sauce

Serve cold with steamed puddings or on apple pie.

1/3 cup butter
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla extract, cognac or rum

Cream butter until soft. Add confectioners' sugar a little at a time, then add vanilla extract, cognac or rum, stirring until smooth.
