Flavored Butters
Stir desired recipe ingredients into 1/2 cup butter, softened; cover and chill at least 8 hours. Each combination makes one serving, so multiply accordingly.
Chili Butter
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
Serve on warm tortillas, or stir into refried beans or rice.
Cinnamon Butter
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon brown sugar.
Serve on hot rolls.
Herb Butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Serve on assorted steamed vegetables, fish or chicken.
