undrained, and coarsely chopped
1 (7 ounce) can chipotle chiles in adobo sauce
1/2 cup water
1 (3 pound) broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
2 teaspoon salt
1 cup lard or vegetable shortening (at
room temperature)
